Role and contribution

Dr Balkau participates through ascertainment and validation of diabetes status in the French EPIC cohort (WP1.1, 1.2) and participate in scientific writing groups.

Scientific profile

Dr Balkau has an active scientific programme in epidemiology of insulin resistance, the metabolic syndrome, screening and risk factors for diabetes, complications of diabetes.
