Role and contribution

As principal investigator of the EPIC Potsdam Study, Professor Boeing coordinates the contributions of DIFE to InterAct and participates as an active member of the scientific writing groups.

Scientific profile

Dr. Heiner Boeing is trained in nutritional science and epidemiology and can refer to 15 years of research in nutritional epidemiology. Major aspects of his research interests concerned methodology such as dietary intake measurement, dietary pattern analysis, and biomarkers of diet as well as to aetiological research into dietary, anthropometrical, and genetic risk factors of chronic conditions and diseases.
