Dr. Linseisen is PI of the EPIC-Heidelberg study and head of the Unit of Nutritional Epidemiology at the Division of Clinical Epidemiology, German Cancer Research Centre, Heidelberg.
Scientific profile
Dr. Linseisen is trained in Human Nutrition and ran scientific studies in the field of nutrition covering different areas (clinical nutrition, nutritional intervention, nutritional epidemiology). He has experience in conducting and analysing epidemiological studies, such as cross-sectional studies, case-control studies, and prospective studies. His major research interests refer to dietary intake - especially the intake of fruit and vegetables, meat, lipids (fatty acids), secondary plant products, and selected vitamins -, its determinants, and its effects in the aetiology of diseases, including cancers of the lung, breast, and pancreas, as well as atopic diseases, coronary heart disease, and diseases of the metabolic syndrome.
