Professor Philippe
Froguel
Role and
contribution
Philippe Froguel contributes to genetic studies
(selection genes, of SNPs, genotyping, statistical analyses) of candidate genes
for T2D.
Scientific profile
Philippe
Froguel is
an expert in complex trait genetics and has worked for 15 years in the genetics
of T2D, identifying the first diabetes genes (MODY genes) and pioneering in the
T2D candidate gene and positional cloning approaches in both monogenic and
polygenic forms of T2D and of obesity. According to ISI Thomson he is the most
referred researcher in the field of Diabetes.
