Dr Panico leads the Naples cohort of EPIC and participates in InterAct through the case ascertainment and verification workpackages 1.1 and 1.2.

Descriptive epidemiology of cardiovascular risk in the Italian population. Causal epidemiology of major chronic diseases in women, with special respect to myocardial infarction, stroke and breast cancer. Population prevention of cardiovascular disease. Molecular epidemiology of chronic disease (cancer and atherosclerosis). Clinical epidemiology. Health education in chronic disease prevention.
